About Ashley
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 1 year of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. My passion for helping others began in teaching and caregiving before I discovered my calling in counseling. I work with clients ages 12+ from diverse backgrounds to address trauma, anxiety, depression, family dynamics, relationship concerns, and self-esteem. I strive to create a space where healing, growth, and self-discovery can take root.
I earned a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Moravian University. My approach integrates compassion, collaboration, and perspective-building to foster personal growth. I help clients reframe challenges, explore new insights, and strengthen their sense of security and resilience through open dialogue and mutual understanding.
You deserve a therapist who truly sees and accepts you without judgment. I will meet you with honesty, empathy, and respect, creating a safe space where you can do more than survive. My goal is to empower you to build the life you desire, one rooted in growth, peace, and authenticity.

"As someone with significant trauma, I have worked hard to create peace within myself; now I strive to expand my knowledge, share insights, and provide support to others in any way I can."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I have always felt a strong desire to assist others. I was fortunate to have some truly wonderful counselors in my life who provided invaluable support, and I believe I would not be where I am today without their guidance. Therefore, I aspire to offer the same kind of assistance to others that I have received throughout my life.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I have consistently found it easy to establish rapport with children, teens, and young adults. I also believe that I am quite effective in collaborating with clients of all ages who have encountered sexual trauma, PTSD, or eating disorders.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
A crucial aspect of therapy often overlooked is the autonomy to choose and change therapists, recognizing that not all therapists are a perfect match. Many individuals report having negative experiences with a single therapist, leading to a reluctance to pursue further therapeutic support. However, it is important to recognize the ongoing arrival of newly licensed therapists, who may provide a more compatible therapeutic connection.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the initial therapy sessions, we can proceed in a manner that feels most comfortable for you. We can either delve directly into the core issues, if you are inclined, or we can dedicate some time to establishing a rapport. I firmly believe that individuals are less likely to share their most difficult experiences if they do not feel at ease with the person they are confiding in. Therefore, if you are ready to discuss your most painful experiences in the first session, I am prepared to listen attentively. However, if you are not yet ready, I am equally willing to engage in less sensitive topics, such as your most recent activities, as we work towards building a solid therapeutic relationship. This approach also applies to children. If the first few sessions involve activities like coloring, playing games, and discussing school, it may seem like we are not making much progress, but it is essential for them to develop trust before they can begin to address their trauma.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences, including navigating trauma, PTSD, and significant weight loss, have profoundly influenced my development as a clinician. This background has provided a foundation for empathy and understanding. I am committed to continuous learning and professional growth. My journey has enabled me to connect with clients, fostering a sense of shared experience and demonstrating that they are not alone in their struggles.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
To ensure the therapeutic process is tailored to the client's needs, I plan to regularly check in with them. For instance, during our initial session, I will inquire about their preferences, such as whether they would like a clinician who frequently challenges them, primarily listens, or helps them explore different perspectives. My aim is to provide the type of therapeutic relationship they require, within the bounds of my professional capabilities.
