About Skylinn
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life transitions, relational challenges, and emotional distress. I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck and are seeking healthier relationships, improved emotional balance, and meaningful personal growth.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage, couple, and family counseling from George Fox University. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and rooted in compassion. I focus on building emotional awareness, strengthening communication, and fostering insight through honest reflection and practical, skills-based support.
I understand the courage it takes to seek support. Therapy is a collaborative space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported as you navigate challenges and work toward lasting change. I am here to walk alongside you as you strengthen relationships, build resilience, and grow.

"I help individuals, couples, and families live more intentional, fulfilling lives by using a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that strengthens relationships with yourself and others."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I saw how building social emotional skills and secure attachments in childhood transform lives. I wanted to help adults build these skills too, boosting self-esteem, strengthening relationships, and supporting overall well-being.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with youth, young adults, parents, and couples who want to feel more connected with themselves and others, improve communication, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence, balance, and stronger relationships.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that healing takes time, dedication, and sometimes discomfort. Therapy isn’t immediate, but with consistent effort, you’ll notice growth, stronger relationships, and a deeper connection with yourself and others.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first sessions, we’ll get to know each other, explore what brought you to therapy, and start building a safe space. Early on, we focus on noticing emotions, body sensations, challenges and regulation, while taking practical steps toward growth.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is informed by my experiences as a parent in a blended family, as a mixed-race, neurodivergent parent of a transgender child, and by my own ongoing journey in therapy. I value compassion, honesty, and creating a safe, culturally responsive space for growth and healing.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by listening closely and meeting clients where they are. Using trauma informed, culturally responsive, and relationship centered approaches, I help clients build emotional regulation, stronger connections, and practical skills for growth.
