About Provider

About Evan

Over the years, I've worked with people from many walks of life and with a wide range of concerns. My clients often struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, hoarding, ADHD, trauma, PTSD, relationship challenges, grief, stress, and major life transitions. Some come to therapy with a clear goal in mind, while others simply know that something isn't working and want support finding a way forward. Wherever you're starting from, I strive to meet you with curiosity, respect, and compassion.

My approach blends CBT, ACT, and narrative therapy to help clients understand patterns that keep them stuck and move toward what matters most. I offer a supportive, reflective space while gently challenging unhelpful habits and beliefs. Together, we work toward greater flexibility, resilience, and meaning.

Being human can be complicated, and everyone faces challenges at some point in life. Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported. If you're ready to begin that process, I welcome the opportunity to work with you.

"Throughout my career, I've worked in settings ranging from inpatient psychiatric units to group homes, supportive-housing and houseless shelters. These experiences have shown me that while our circumstances may differ, many of the challenges we face - grief, stress, uncertainty, relationship struggles, and the search for meaning - are deeply human and widely shared. They have shaped my belief that healing begins with compassion, connection, and feeling truly understood. "

Get to know Evan

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I've always believed that the work we do should leave the world a little better than we found it. I am drawn to helping others through difficult times, and social work gave me a framework for understanding that our struggles don't exist in isolation - they're shaped by our relationships, environments, and the broader systems around us. Counseling allows me to help people heal while honoring both their individual strengths and the context of their lives.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I especially enjoy working with people who don't yet have the words for what they're experiencing. They simply know that something feels off, they're feeling stuck, or life isn't unfolding the way they'd hoped. Counseling doesn't require having all the answers - it begins with curiosity. Together, we'll make sense of your experience and find a path forward.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Ultimately, counseling is about our shared humanity. Suffering is universal, people are more than their diagnoses or circumstances and healing comes gradually through compassion and connection.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

We'll move at a pace that feels right for you. Early sessions are an opportunity to understand what's bringing you to therapy, identify your strengths, and explore the changes you'd like to make. We'll work together to find an approach that fits your needs, and if those needs change along the way, we'll adapt together.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I believe healing happens in relationship, people are shaped by their experiences and the contexts in which they live, and everyone deserves to be met with compassion.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Counseling is always unique because every person brings a different story, set of strengths, and hopes for change. The direction of our work is shaped by your goals, values, and lived experience. My role is to bring clinical knowledge, curiosity, and support while we work together to find what is most helpful for you.
