About Alli
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 16 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s most challenging transitions. Over the years, I’ve supported teenagers and adults who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-harm, domestic abuse, divorce, and LGBTQ+ issues. I strive to create a compassionate and safe environment where clients feel empowered to express their emotions, discover their inner resilience, and make meaningful changes toward emotional wellness.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Palo Alto University and hold certifications as a Clinical Trauma Professional and member of the American Counseling Association. My therapeutic approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed practices, and empathy-driven support tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I believe that small changes can lead to powerful transformation. My goal is to help clients replace self-defeating behaviors with self-compassion, find strength in vulnerability, and develop tools for lasting growth. I also enjoy using humor to bring lightness to the healing process and encourage balance through life’s challenges.

"As one who has experienced personal trauma and loss, I truly have an authentic and genuine understanding of how our lives are impacted by painful life circumstances and how learning and building new skills and tools can help empower us once again."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I practice from a place of genuine empathy and understanding. I have experienced depression, anxiety, tragedy, abuse and loss. I know what it's like. I can commiserate. My passion and goal in life are to help clients develop the tools they need to cope with life's challenges and help them reach their mental health goals.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with the clients who are wanting to engage in the sessions, do the work for themselves (not necessarily others) and are willing to commit to the healing process.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with a variety of feelings and emotions can bring life altering results. It's important to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick overnight fix. It's a healing process which requires participation from both the client and the counselor. In order for counseling to be successful, there must be a mutual respect, and honesty is important for the therapeutic relationship.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
A client can expect to feel safe, encouraged, and to start being able to build a strong therapeutic relationship.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Mutual trust, respect, open mindedness, communication and a therapeutic connection are all important values to incorporate.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I work with each individual to determine what their needs are, what they are struggling with/having issues with, any past therapeutic interventions that may or may not have been helpful for them and then I continue to work with the client to determine what they are the most comfortable working through first.
