About Peggy
Peggy Myers is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with 42 years of experience in behavioral health and wellness. She has worked with young children, adolescents, families, and older adults in times of crisis, grief, and adaptability. Peggy specializes in treating anxiety, depression, stress, infidelity, trauma, and women’s issues. She understands how life can challenge us and the unique perspective that women may present in addressing obstacles. Peggy appreciates the impact of trauma and embraces the mission of identifying its impact on those that she works with.
Peggy received her Master of Social Work from Ohio State University. She is well-versed in cognitive behavioral therapy, compassion-focused therapy, attachment-based therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and end-of-life/hospice care.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Life can be hard! So many stages of our lives are challenging to navigate and a partner is needed to support.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Older adults, women and men. Women's issues relating to life events.

Adult women
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
That they are not alone!

Nature, positive perspectives, change.

Lots of questions! I want to get to know you and hear your story.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Psychosocial assessment and establish expectations for both client and provider.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I will use humor to demystify therapy.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
gardening, kids/grandchild, friend time

I've learned to press pause - I use to be in a rush to make everything ok. I try to do what's right...
