About Lisa
Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervisor Endorsement. I have experience in the field since 2018. I like to focus on building rapport with everyone I see & I utilize many different therapeutic techniques to assist clients in achieving goals. I specialize in helping teens & adults suffering from ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, & more. I obtained my Master's degree in Human Service from Post University & completed my Clinical Counseling degree at John Carroll University. I enjoy using therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, & family systems therapy.
I never want counseling to feel like something clients dread. I want clients to enjoy therapy and look forward to it. I encourage people to be open and honest in the safe space we've created. Whether you have something specific to discuss or you'd like me to guide the conversation, we can have conversations that hopefully allow you to heal, grow, and thrive.

"As a person who has experienced life's curveballs, I am confident I can support you on your journey. I have experienced grief, anxiety, chronic illness, and as a mother, pregnancy-related concerns. I have an authentic understanding of some of life's painful circumstances. Pair that will knowledge I have learned professionally, and I can assist in self-improvement. If you are ready to start your personal journey, schedule an appointment with me today."

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I have always enjoyed helping people, whether it be paying it forward, a small token of appreciation, some advice, or just a hug. Even as a little kid, I always gravitated to the under dog or the child who no one else wanted to sit with. I have always been empathetic and wanted everyone to be included. I thoroughly enjoy being a reliable resource for someone in need.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I feel I can build rapport with anyone!
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Everyone is unique. There is no "right way" to do therapy. I will make sure that my client is comfortable and we will work together to create goals.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I learn just as much from my clients as they might learn from me. Being on this journey with you is so much more than a "job." When you love what you do, you don't work a day in your life! Watching progress from start to finish is one of the best rewards. Mental health improvement is something I will advocate for always and forever.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I am a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a friend, guitar and piano player, animal rights activist, traveler, earth loving and kind human, LGBTQIA+ ally, MS Warrior, a reader, self-proclaimed pop culture expert, movie watcher, community theater performer, and massive music lover who enjoys spending time with her family, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and aspiring Italian language speaker. All of these identities paired with life experiences offer an opportunity to connect with clients on multiple levels.
