About Josh
I’m a licensed therapist who works with teens (13+) and adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. Many of the people I meet feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and begin building the clarity, confidence, and stability you’ve been wanting.
My style is collaborative, practical, and grounded in evidence‑based care. I draw from CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, attachment‑based work, and trauma‑focused approaches to help you understand patterns, regulate emotions, and create meaningful change. I also incorporate EMDR to support deeper healing when past experiences continue to affect the present.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel supported, respected, and capable of growth. If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with steadiness and genuine care, I’d be honored to be part of your healing process and help you move toward the life you want.

"I show up with a calm, collaborative presence, drawing on trauma‑informed and evidence‑based approaches to help clients feel understood, supported, and genuinely empowered in their work with me."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories and the moments that shape them. Over the years, I saw how powerful it can be to have someone sit with you, really listen, and help you make sense of what feels heavy. Being able to offer that kind of support felt like meaningful work I wanted to be part of.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with teens and adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, or big life changes. I connect especially well with people who feel stuck or overwhelmed and want a therapist who’s steady, down‑to‑earth, and collaborative.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish everyone knew that therapy isn’t about “fixing” yourself. It’s about understanding what’s going on inside, learning new ways to cope, and giving yourself permission to grow at your own pace. Small steps count, and they add up more than people realize.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming conversation where we talk about what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for. Early on, we’ll get clear on your goals, explore what feels most urgent, and start noticing patterns that might be contributing to your stress. You’ll leave with a sense of direction and what our work together will look like.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My work is shaped by values like authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. I believe people heal best when they feel understood, not judged. My own experiences with change and uncertainty have taught me how important it is to have someone steady in your corner, and that’s the kind of presence I aim to offer.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by listening closely to what each person wants and what feels manageable for them. I pull from different evidence‑based approaches—like CBT, ACT, DBT, IFS, attachment‑based work, and EMDR—and adjust the pace, tools, and focus so the process fits the person, not the other way around.
