Jamie Price-Copeland
she/herLicensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)
I am a licensed independent social worker with over ten years of experience providing professional therapeutic support in home, school, emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings. I have experience working with individuals of almost all ages, though I am currently providing care to adults ages 18-64. I provide psychotherapy, education, and tools to help you achieve your goals, with ongoing reassessment as your life evolves. I work from a trauma-informed stance, helping clients reflect on past experiences and develop new positive beliefs that support their mood, function, relationships, and quality of life.
I utilize a person-centered approach. Through mindful exploration of your symptoms and health, past/current/desired future experiences, personal values, and strengths, I will work to provide you with support, insight, tools, education, and/or guidance with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral strategies.
If you are interested in feeling better and open to sharing what you are experiencing, I am here to provide encouragement, support, skills, and education in an emotionally safe, judgment-free environment. If therapy wasn’t a good experience before, it can take exploration to find the right fit. Please schedule an appointment to meet with me.

"As a helper-oriented individual with humanistic values, I am intrinsically motivated to empower individuals to improve their mood and overall well-being!"
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a therapist because I love to help people!
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who like a goals-focused approach!
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish that all clients knew they are worthy of feeling good and capable of things beyond their imagination!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a lot of questions as I get to know you and your unique individual life experience, and help you to articulate the changes you would like to make in your life! You will never be pressured to share anything you don't feel comfortable sharing!
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Humanistic values, evidencebased intervention, education, research, and personal life experience informs my practice as a therapist.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy to meet each client's unique needs by holding an initial focus to thoroughly assess my client's symptoms and conceptualize their presenting life circumstances. From this information, individual needs and goals are identified and developed.
