I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees at John Carroll University. I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010 and my Master of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2013. I enjoy working with adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with life transitions and stressors, burnout, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, as well as anyone who has a desire or wants to work on themselves or address any challenges they may be experiencing.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of therapy. I utilized a person-centered approach and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and welcoming place for my clients.
My hope is that clients feel heard and are comfortable bringing their concerns, anxiety, mood, trauma, or anything that is on their mind into therapy and know that it is a safe place for them to share. Scheduling that first appointment is often the hardest step. I look forward to working with you!

"I believe that therapy should be viewed as a collaborative approach. You are the expert of your life and your experiences. As one who has experienced personal trauma, I have a true understanding of how we are impacted by painful life circumstances and how empowering therapy can be."
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I love working with people. It is an honor to be able to part of someone's journey as they work on themselves as well as their struggles.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with teenagers, young adults, and adults, as well as anyone who wants to come to counseling!
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
You don't have to only come to therapy when you are in crisis. Sometimes the best time to come, is when life is boring! Therapy doesn't have to be hard and sad all the time. It can also be fun and exciting! Hopefully you leave feeling better and empowered!
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The first session is really just about me getting to know you and you getting to know me. It is about relationship building.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My own personal trauma that I have had to address and work through has let me see first hand that therapy REALLY does work and can be life changing. I hope to be able to provide that experience for my clients as well.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
There is no one size fits all when it comes to therapy. Each client is individual so we adjust based on each client and what they enjoy and find helpful. We are flexible and adaptable in therapy and if something isn't working, we can always pivot to something else.
