About Kimberly
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 6 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, teens, and couples. I work with clients navigating identity shifts, life transitions, relationship challenges, emotional disconnection, grief, and loss. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, with a strong focus on understanding emotional and relational patterns that impact overall well-being.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Nevada. My work is grounded in a psychodynamic approach, helping clients explore how past experiences influence present thoughts, emotions, and relationships while building insight, resilience, and self-understanding.
Beginning therapy takes courage, and I strive to create a warm, supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and respected. Together, we will explore your experiences, uncover meaningful insights, and work toward personal growth and healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others.

"As a woman who has grown up facing personal trauma and loss, I understand how life’s hardships shape us and how cultivating insight and resilience can help us move forward with greater clarity and connection."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I wanted to represent those who are not commonly represented as counselors. To be a women of color, that is relatively young and speaking to individuals who are BIPOC or Queer, and making them feel seen in a space where they are accepted, understood and not judged during the time they have in session.
What types of clients do you work best with?
Couples, adults, teens and the aging population.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
That healing is not linear, and to have some level of anxiety or depression is to be human. It is okay to have times where you feel sad, or mad, or anxious because it makes us human.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Client’s can expect a gradual process to learning about their experiences and identifying their goals, needs, and motivations to engage in therapy while ensuring self-determination and honoring their advocacy along the way.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I engage in the first session with a lot of informed consent and this is consistent throughout all sessions, as well as self-determination.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Identifying their intersectionality and diving deep into their childhood experiences and upbringing (environmentally, socially, ecologically, etc.) to build an individualized experience for them in therapy.
