I have a deep desire to help others navigate through the trying circumstances of life. I believe given the opportunity and skills anyone can choose to better themselves and I want to support, guide and direct those on their journey of improvement.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with clients who are motivated to start the process but not yet sure where to go in their journey, those who are open to change and are looking for support.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
Therapy is a process and you have to trust the process. Healing takes time. What happened to you didn't happen overnight and getting through it and healing won't occur overnight but with time healing does take place. Things may seem that they get worse before they get better but hold on to the knowledge that they do get better.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session together it will be gathering of information so I can understand where you are coming from, what you are looking for in therapy and from a therapist and determine how we want to navigate forward. The focus will be on building a therapeutic trust and bond between one another.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My personal experiences with life challenges, grief, trauma, and transitions provide me firsthand insight into human resilience, allowing me walk alongside clients with a genuine understanding of their feelings and experiences.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Therapy is individualized based upon the client's identified therapy needs and their personal goals for therapy. Understanding the patient's perspective helps to tailor the therapy to meet each client's individual needs to meet their overall goal for therapy.
