Tykeyia “Ty” Evans is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has 14 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with children, families, adults, couples, severe mental illness, and addictions. Ty also has experience in crisis intervention. She has worked with a broad range of concerns including psychosis, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, domestic violence, self-esteem issues, homelessness, family conflict, relationship issues, grief and loss, identity issues, and aging to name a few. Ty completed both her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Rutgers University. 

Ty’s passion and goal is to empower, to provide support, to give guidance, to challenge, and to instill hope to everyone she encounters. She will offer you an integrated treatment approach designed to meet your specific needs. Ty understands how complex and frustrating life can be at times. She commends you for seeking help! Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I love people and it's rewarding to play a part in positively impacting the life of another person. I became a counselor to give hope to those who feel hopeless and to inspire a person to be the best them they can be.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work well with all clients. Each person is unique and every situation is different.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

I am excited to work with everyone I encounter!

I wish all clients knew they are special and have the power to change their lives no matter how difficult things may seem.
