What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In the first session, clients can expect a warm and welcoming environment where we begin to build rapport and trust. I take a slow, thoughtful approach, taking time to understand your unique experiences and needs. Together, we'll discuss your goals and create a plan that aligns with your pace, focusing on one step at a time. My goal is to empower you through self-determination, ensuring we work collaboratively to develop a strong foundation for your journey toward healing and growth.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session, I aim to establish a clear understanding of what is bothering the individual and the challenges they are facing. Together, we will identify the presenting problem and work towards setting achievable, realistic goals. My focus is on building trust, creating a safe space for open communication, and laying the groundwork for a collaborative plan that addresses their needs and priorities.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
Before scheduling a first session, clients should know that I am open, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I am trained and skilled in a variety of evidence-based practices and take a holistic approach to therapy, seeing each person as a whole. I focus on understanding the unique needs of each individual, ensuring that our work together is personalized and rooted in compassion, while always prioritizing your well-being and growth.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
On my time off, I enjoy staying active by going for runs, which helps me clear my mind and stay energized. I also love spending quality time with my family, whether it's enjoying a meal together or just relaxing. When I need to unwind, I enjoy watching TV, especially shows that help me relax and recharge for the week ahead.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
One thing that defines me is my sense of humor. I believe laughter is a powerful way to connect with others and lighten the mood, even during tough times. I try to bring a little levity to every situation, helping people feel comfortable and at ease. Life can be challenging, but I think a good laugh can make all the difference in creating connection and building resilience!
