About Michael
Dr. Becht is a Licensed Psychologist with 25 years of experience in a broad range of mental health settings. He specializes in treating concerns including mental stress, behavioral issues, life transitions, ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, and bipolar disorder. Dr. Becht offers individual counseling to clients aged 14 and up.
Dr. Becht received his Doctor of Psychology from Immaculata University. He utilizes evidenced-based orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Dr. Becht believes in a therapeutic collaboration that fosters the full potential for clients to be authentic and get the most from their lives. By establishing a connection with his patients to problem solve and reduce stressors, he is ready to help you tackle whatever is in your way!

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My education and life experiences, all the wonderful opportunities presented, I became aware and fully engaged in mans' search to find himself, something that is instilled in everyone. The keystone, undeniably necessary to strive/experience; "The sole purpose of life is to enjoy it."
What types of clients do you work with best?
The clients I work with best are ones that have a willingness to express/become vulnerable with a desire to achieve an overall positive sense of self.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Clients that are willing to recognize that life is not predetermined, that they are not and never will be perfect, and they can have a beautiful life experience.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish my clients knew that they are unique/one of a kind.
