About Meagan
I'm a licensed social worker with 5 years of experience. I've worked with people at all stages of life, including young children just beginning to understand their emotions, adolescents finding their identity, and adults rebuilding after incarceration or major setbacks. Each person has taught me something about strength, healing, and what it means to start over. What brings people to my practice is a shared desire to heal from what's happened, to feel more confident and at peace, and to create a life that feels genuinely right for them. My role is to support and collaborate with you and to help you discover what works for you.
I earned my Master of Social Work from Rutgers University. I work from a client-centered, strengths-based approach, which means you're always in the driver's seat. I draw from CBT, narrative therapy, and mindfulness techniques, and we'll tailor our work together based on what resonates and what you need.
A core part of my approach is highlighting what's already working in your life. Recognizing your existing strengths and coping skills builds real confidence and momentum toward change. I look forward to partnering with you as you create the life you're seeking.

"I know firsthand that life's most painful transitions—like grief, career upheaval, and identity shifts—can also become the foundation for a more authentic, fulfilling life, which is my hope for all clients I work with."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a counselor because I felt a strong desire to help others and recognized that my own life had improved exponentially through therapy.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish all clients knew that seeking support for their mental health is so powerful. The process can be challenging at times, but the benefits are well worth it.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients should expect the first few sessions to be very conversational. I want to get to know them as a person, not just through the challenges or goals they bring to therapy.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I would categorize my style as eclectic, meaning I pull techniques from many different modalities. This means that I can assess what may or may not work for each client; this is not a "one size fits all" process. I also deeply value feedback from clients on what they feel is and isn't working throughout our time working together. I want your input to make sure you're receiving the best support.
