Marina Fawzy is a Licensed Social Worker with 2 years of experience in the mental health field. She is passionate about helping adolescents and adults address their challenges and live more fulfilled lives. Marina specializes in depression, anxiety, and behavioral issues.
Marina completed her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Kean University. Marina utilizes multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, strengths-based therapy, and person-centered therapy.
Life is full of challenges; many individuals are experiencing emotional distress that needs to be carefully addressed. Marina's passion is to work with individuals to help them with their mental, social, and emotional well-being. Marina’s goal is to go home every day knowing that she has made a difference in someone’s life.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
We live in a world full of challenges that can be overwhelming, I decided to become a therapist to guide people through daily personal challenges. I am passionate about self-discovery, exploration, and inspiring others to be all that they are capable of being.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I have been closely working with high school students. I have enjoyed encouraging, and empowering young minds.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with all clients who are motivated and willing to look deep into themselves to get to the root of the problem.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
I wish all clients knew that everyone can benefit from therapy and the importance of self-care.

I chose to work at a flexible place.
What inspires you?
I find inspiration in nature and reading.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I understand and respect confidentiality. Clients can expect a welcoming and nonjudgmental environment.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
First session will mainly be information gathering and starting to build rapport and to help me gain an understanding of what you are hoping to get out of therapy.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Traveling, Hiking, spending time with family, friends, and my dog Pixie.

Immigrant, bilingual, and my faith.
