About Jacqueline

Jacqueline Nelson, PhD, MA, BA, LPC, LPC-S is a dedicated and highly experienced Psychotherapist committed to fostering holistic healing and personal evolution. She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Houston (Central Campus); a Master’s in Professional Christian Counseling from Liberty University; and, a PhD in Professional Counseling, Education, and Supervision from Walden University.

With over 15 years of diverse experience—including roles as a Therapist, Supervisor, Crisis Psychotherapist, and Assistant Professor—Dr. Nelson brings a wealth of clinical and academic expertise to her practice. Her extensive background in career counseling, student advocacy, and supervising counseling students highlights her strong capabilities in mentorship and professional coaching.

Dr. Nelson utilizes an eclectic, individualized approach to therapy, recognizing that every client’s path to wellness is unique. While rooted as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, she seamlessly integrates strategies from Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Existential, Positive Psychology, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic theories. Dr. Nelson is passionate about supporting individuals and families across all stages of human development, helping them navigate complex emotional, mental, and physical challenges.
