About Jaimie
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with 19 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s transitions. I have worked in community mental health, schools, medical practices, and private settings. I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I enjoy working with young adults, parents, caregivers, and professionals seeking clarity, connection, and emotional healing. Together, we build resilience and create meaningful change.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Winthrop University. My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and cultural humility. I use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care while integrating mindfulness and narrative techniques to support healing and self-discovery.
I believe everyone deserves a space where they feel safe, supported, and truly heard. In our work together, you can expect warmth, inclusivity, and respect as we explore challenges and create meaningful change. If you’re ready to take that next step, I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

"As a social worker who finds deep purpose in connecting with people from all walks of life, I create a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where your story is honored, and your strengths are the foundation for healing and growth."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I chose to become a counselor because I’ve always felt deeply drawn to people’s stories — the moments of struggle, resilience, and transformation that shape who we are. Early in my life, I saw how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen, without judgment, and walk alongside you through difficult times. That inspired me to pursue a path where I could offer that kind of support to others. Whether someone is navigating trauma, identity questions, relationship challenges, or simply seeking clarity, I find meaning in helping them feel seen, understood, and empowered to move forward.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are curious about themselves and open to exploring both their strengths and struggles.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish every client knew is that healing isn’t linear — it’s a journey with ups, downs, pauses, and breakthroughs, and every step you take, even the small ones, matters. Growth often happens in quiet moments, and progress can look different for everyone. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you reconnect with your inner strength, rewrite old narratives, and move forward with greater clarity and compassion for yourself.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In our first session, clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where we begin by getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to understand your background, what brings you to therapy, and what goals or changes you’re hoping to make. Early sessions are focused on building trust, exploring your story, and identifying patterns or challenges that may be impacting your well-being. Together, we’ll co-create a plan that feels meaningful and manageable, and I’ll always move at a pace that feels right for you. My goal is to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered from the very beginning.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is shaped by a deep belief in the power of human connection and the resilience that lives within each person. Growing up in a multicultural community and working across diverse settings has taught me the importance of listening with humility and honoring each person’s lived experience. I value authenticity, equity, and compassion, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore their stories, and move toward healing at their own pace. These values guide every interaction and help me build meaningful, collaborative relationships with the people I support.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by starting with deep listening — understanding each client’s story, values, cultural background, and what they’re hoping to change or explore. From there, I collaborate with them to choose approaches that fit their personality, goals, and pace.
