About Virginia
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 18 years of experience supporting clients through anxiety, trauma-related concerns, mood disorders, and stress management. I have worked in outpatient group settings, private practice, and with older adults navigating life transitions. I also specialize in supporting children and teens with attention-related needs. I strive to create a safe, affirming space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based care, including cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness-based techniques, and supportive processing to help clients shift patterns, strengthen resilience, and build practical coping skills.
You deserve support, understanding, and a space where you feel safe. If you are ready to sort through what has been weighing on you, I am here. I welcome you to schedule an appointment and look forward to helping you feel more confident, grounded, and capable as you move toward the life you want.

"As an individual who has experienced loss and challenges in accepting it, I strive to build a connection and provide assistance in building a future that exceeds the past."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My interested began through the difference witnessed in professionals through treatment of an eating disorder, traumatic brain injury, and stepfather's recovery from alcoholism. As people naturally sought support and guidance from me thought my teen and adult years I strived to learn skills to set boundaries that allowed me to offer the support I wanted to others and unsure quality care and prevent the negative effects of burnout on my clients.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I enjoy working with all types of individuals and through all stages of openness to treatment.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I work for and with you. I do not have expectations on the individual seeking treatment and strive to empower you to feel in control in and through your treatment.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
The first session I normally ask more question to get an overview of the individual and what the individual wants from treatment. I then use that information to build a respectful therapeutic relationship and treatment plan that fits the individual's interest/ personal style.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I believe in the client feeling and having control in the direction of treatment. The pace and direction develops at the clients discretion.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I listen. I listen to experiences with therapy treatment, wants, hopes, strengths, and limits of each individual to directly offer services tailored to the individual.
