About Tina
I am a licensed professional counselor with over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. I work with adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and everyday stress. Many of my clients are seeking clarity, emotional balance, and healthier ways to cope with life’s challenges. I also have experience supporting individuals from underserved communities and those navigating difficult life circumstances. My goal is to provide a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
My approach is compassionate, practical, and client-centered. I integrate evidence-based methods such as cognitive behavioral and solution-focused strategies to help clients identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create realistic goals. Clients can expect a supportive space focused on growth, resilience, and meaningful change.
Reaching out for support can be one of the most important steps toward change. You do not have to face life’s challenges alone. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, gain clarity, and move forward with confidence. When you are ready, I welcome the opportunity to support you on your journey.

"With over 30 years of experience in mental health, I believe healing begins when people feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward through life’s challenges. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I have always been drawn to helping people through life’s challenges. Over the years, I have seen how having a safe place to talk and being truly heard can make a powerful difference in someone’s life. Supporting individuals as they build resilience, gain clarity, and move toward healing continues to be deeply meaningful to me.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who are navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, and personal challenges that can feel overwhelming. Many of my clients are looking for clarity, practical coping strategies, and support as they work toward healthier patterns and emotional balance. I also work well with individuals from underserved communities who may be facing multiple life stressors and need a supportive space to process and move forward.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that healing is a process, not a quick fix. Meaningful change takes time, patience, and self-compassion. Therapy is not about being “fixed,” but about gaining insight, building healthier coping skills, and learning new ways to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During the first session, clients can expect a comfortable and supportive conversation where we begin to get to know one another. We will explore what led them to seek therapy, discuss their current concerns, and identify what they hope to gain from our work together. In the early stages of therapy, we focus on building a trusting relationship, setting clear goals, and developing practical tools to support growth and lasting change.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by a strong belief in compassion, resilience, and the importance of meeting people where they are. Over many years in the mental health field, I have seen how life challenges can affect individuals in different ways, and I value creating a space where people feel respected, heard, and supported. I believe everyone deserves access to understanding, practical tools, and encouragement as they work toward healing and personal growth.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by taking the time to understand each client’s background, experiences, and goals. Every person’s situation is different, so I adjust my approach based on what will best support their growth. I integrate evidence-based strategies with a compassionate, client-centered approach to help clients build coping skills, gain insight, and make meaningful progress at their own pace.
