About Jazmine
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned my Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi and my Master of Social Work from The University of Alabama. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and other challenges that impact their daily lives. Whether you're seeking healing from past experiences or looking to build healthier coping skills, I strive to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and empowered.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to each client's unique needs. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychotherapy.
Together, we'll identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

"I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am passionate about helping my clients recognize their strengths as they work toward meaningful, lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I decided to become a therapist because I have always been passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges and recognize their strengths. Since beginning my therapy practice in 2015, I have had the privilege of supporting children, adolescents, and adults through difficult experiences. I believe everyone deserves a safe, compassionate space where they feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. It is incredibly rewarding to walk alongside clients as they heal, grow, and achieve their personal goals.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work well with children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, stress, and other emotional or behavioral challenges. I especially enjoy working with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward lasting healing. Whether someone is facing a recent life change or carrying the effects of past experiences, I strive to meet them where they are with empathy and support.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish every client knew that healing is not a straight line, and it's okay if progress doesn't happen overnight. Therapy is not about being "fixed" it's about gaining insight, building resilience, and learning skills that help you navigate life's challenges. Every step forward, no matter how small, is meaningful, and you don't have to face difficult experiences alone.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can share your story at your own pace. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, explore your current concerns, review your history, and identify your goals for treatment. Together, we'll develop a plan tailored to your needs. In the early stages of therapy, we'll begin building trust, identifying patterns, strengthening coping skills, and working toward meaningful, lasting change.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is guided by compassion, authenticity, respect, and the belief that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing. I value creating a nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe, accepted, and empowered to be themselves. I believe in meeting each person with empathy while recognizing their unique strengths, experiences, and resilience.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I take an individualized and collaborative approach to treatment. I work closely with each client to understand their goals, strengths, cultural background, and personal experiences. Together, we develop a treatment plan that supports meaningful progress and helps clients build the skills and confidence to thrive.
