About Erica
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 17 years of experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I take a warm, structured, and collaborative approach that helps clients build clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience. I work with adults and adolescents and strive to create a safe, grounded space where you can explore your experiences and begin meaningful healing.
I earned my doctorate in professional counseling from Mississippi College and my master’s degree in counseling from Delta State University. I integrate cognitive behavioral strategies, solution-focused tools, mindfulness-based practices, and strength-based support to provide clarity, practical skills, and steady progress.
Your story matters, and your healing is possible. I’m here to offer steady support and direction as you navigate what comes next. When you feel ready, I would be honored to help you take the next step toward a healthier, more grounded version of yourself.

"As someone who balances real-life experience with clinical expertise, I create a supportive environment."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I believe every person deserves a safe space to heal, grow, and be truly seen. Supporting others through life’s challenges—emotionally, spiritually, and practically—is my calling. Helping clients rediscover their strength and purpose fuels my passion for this work.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients seeking a supportive, holistic space to process anxiety, relationship concerns, grief, or life transitions. I welcome those who desire a blend of evidence-based strategies, emotional insight, and optional faith-integrated care to foster healing and personal growth.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about helping you understand yourself, build healthier patterns, and find clarity. Healing is a gradual, powerful process, and you deserve support along the way. Your story matters, and therapy can help you reclaim your peace and purpose.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a warm, welcoming space where they can share their story at their own pace. In early sessions, we clarify goals, explore strengths, and begin developing practical skills to manage emotions, reduce stress, and improve relationships. Together, we create a clear plan for meaningful, steady progress.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My work is informed by my experiences as a school counselor, licensed clinician, and woman of faith. I value empathy, cultural humility, and resilience. I believe healing grows through honesty, support, and evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique story.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by honoring each client’s story, strengths, and goals. Using an integrative, trauma-informed approach, I combine evidence-based techniques with culturally responsive care to meet clients where they are, support their growth, and create a plan aligned with their unique needs.
