About Sarah
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience supporting adults through challenges in all stages of life. I have worked with clients managing anxiety, depression, stress, health concerns, substance and alcohol use, PTSD, grief, and more. I also have experience supporting individuals who have served in the military. My goal is to create a compassionate and supportive space where you can begin your journey toward healing and growth.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Missouri. I use a compassionate, strength-based approach that values active listening, authenticity, and empathy. My focus is helping you identify challenges, set personalized goals, and build resilience in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
I want to support you with practical tools and techniques that help you cope with life’s difficulties in healthier ways. Whether you are facing stress, grief, or major life transitions, I am here to walk alongside you with care and understanding when you are ready to take that step.

"Hi, I'm glad you're here! Taking the first step toward healing can be tough, but I'm here to support you with empathy, understanding, and a safe space to explore your feelings at your own pace."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Helping people uncover new ways to reach their goals and find balance in life is incredibly rewarding. It is amazing to be a part of someone’s growth and healing.
What types of clients do you work with best?
Adults that have had struggles and challenges in all stages of life.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Clients with anxiety, depression, stress, health issues, substance/alcohol use, PTSD, grief and more.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew about therapy is that it’s a collaborative process. It’s not just about the therapist providing answers or solutions, but about working together to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a way that helps you gain insight and make meaningful changes.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks has given me the ability to help others. We all have challenges in life and reaching out for help takes courage.
What inspires you?
The ability to connect with others on a deeply human level, understanding their pain, joy, and struggles, can be deeply inspiring.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
My first session with clients is when I get to connect and learn what challenges they have been facing. I get to know their background and what has brought them to therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
In the first session of therapy, my goal would be to set the foundation for a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship while also helping the individual feel safe, heard, and understood.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I am a compassionate, strength-based therapist who values active listening and understanding your perspective as well as being authentic and genuine in the therapeutic process. My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic environment. I want to help you understand and identify your challenges and create goals that are unique and personalized to you. I want to be able to support you on your journey by providing techniques and tools that allow you to cope in new and healthy ways. Wherever you are on your journey, I am here when you are ready.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Outside of working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Our time together is usually centered around sports and outdoor activities. I also love to read and walk my dog on a daily basis if possible.
