I am Darcel Tyson and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working with individuals for well over 10+ years. I have had the pleasure of working with 4 years olds exploring emotional regulation to 55+ individuals facing life transitions. We all face challenges at some point of life therefore, exploring options, setting goals allows one to become the best version of the self.

I am here to support, encourage, motivate and challenge one to a path of real change. I offer a safe, comfortable and nonjudgmental environment that supports the therapeutic process. This includes closing up past wounds and using scars as building blocks to recovery and restoration.

We will build rapport and work collaboratively to identify internal conflicts and barriers which hinder personal growth. You will have the opportunity to gain insight, explore self-awareness and apply the necessary skills to improve your quality of life.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

One thing I wish all clients knew about therapy is that it offers a holistic approach, that is designed to promote wholeness, emotional stability and harmony within oneself.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Clients can expect in their first session to build rapport and also to establish therapeutic foundations and expectations. Early stages going forward clients will set personal goals that focuses on the recovery, balance and emotional wholeness.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I tailor therapeutic sessions based on the needs of the client. By understanding the clients needs and applying an evidence based approach I can support the client moving forward to achieve the most favorable outcome.
