About Ashtin
I am a licensed certified social worker (LCSW) with 5 years of experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and challenging family or relationship dynamics. I help individuals build emotional awareness, strengthen coping skills, and navigate stress with greater clarity and confidence. My goal is to create a grounded, compassionate space where clients feel understood and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
I hold a master’s degree in social work from New York University and have worked with clients in both in-person and virtual settings. My approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and strengths-focused interventions to help clients manage symptoms, increase resilience, and make sustainable progress.
You deserve a space where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore your experiences without judgment. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back, build practical tools that fit your life, and move at a pace that feels right for you. I would be honored to support your relief, growth, and balance.

"As a woman who has experienced both personal trauma and anxiety, I understand the weight of carrying such fear and worry as one seeks emotional healing and joy."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
As a young person, I felt validated most by a social worker during one of the darkest times of my life. This pivotal experience not only changed my life for the better but also instilled a need to seek a meaningful career in showing empathy and care for others.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I find that I enjoy working with clients that are open to vulnerability and can be honest with themselves. Our pain and mistakes do not have to be sources of life-long shame. The grace we give ourselves is the most valuable.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
There is no "one size fits all" and therapists are not all-knowing, wise people. We are simply humans that wish to see other humans and support them in the present moment.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
I prioritize listening to and learning from the client. Early sessions are an opportunity to see as much as the whole picture as possible and set realistic, intentional goals.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value humanity and people's rights. I hope to think of myself as very open-minded and non-judgmental person in all spaces. Each person is a collection and reflection of their life experiences.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I find that is important to meet people where they are in the present moment. Therapy is a flexible thing, and sessions are determined by the need of the client. We will always circle back to goals and consider progress and attainability, although life is unexpected and I seek to continuously make space for the client to determine the agenda.
