I served people for 28 years as a Pastor before chronic illness and family trauma forced a career change. As a therapist I continue to help bring answers to our deepest questions including why we suffer, why lose the ones we love, and how we rise above our depression and anxiety. I help those contending with obsessive thoughts, obsessive cleanliness, and obsessive compulsions understand where these come from and how to cope peacefully with them. I also help people struggling with sexual compulsions.

I am an exceptional listener and I am able to discern quickly from listening to you the sometimes hidden reasons why we suffer discomfort or behave in a certain way. I have found that the most concrete and constructive way to offer real change in your life is by learning to alter your actions and behaviors which in turn change how you think and feel.

Whatever is buried in your past, whatever is troubling you today, there really are answers and there really is a better life in front of you. Schedule that first appointment and begin your healing journey.

"Through years of physical illness, pain, grief, and conflict I have developed a deep empathy, compassion, and ability to help others in need. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

My life of affliction and loss has driven me to seek answers to our most basic questions including Why? How Long? Can anyone help? I devote my life to sharing these answers with you.

What types of clients do you work best with?

I work well with the elderly, with Christians, and with men and women seeking relief from all anxiety and depression related struggles.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Therapy is much easier than people imagine, and most people leave every session feeling so much better.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our early conversations I will hear what is troubling you most. Very early in our sessions I will also hear why you are struggling. You and I will agree on what you want to talk about, work on, and improve, and how we will get there.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

My life of hardships coupled with my Christian faith both inform and guide my care.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I want to help all people of all cultures and beliefs. I always am careful to meet each client where they are and proceed within their most comfortable context.
