Jennifer works beside you to help you cope with struggles and challenges. However, she also helps you to find what joy, peace, and the best versions of "you" look like.

"For 25 years, I have served in the counseling field, learning success strategies from other clients and practitioners."
Get to know Jennifer
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I used to do volunteer work with my mom and church when I was little. I also grew up in a home with a sister with physical disabilities. I saw the different needs of people from any early age and I enjoyed being a part of the solution.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with anyone who is genuinely interested in healing or doing the best they can with their circumstances.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
Although I have a career of experience with working with those battling cancer, I genuinely am excited to work with anyone who is wanting to grow.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
Your value as an individual is not based on how you are treated or perceive how others view you. You are also much stronger than you are currently aware.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
I want to be at a practice that is easily accessible for people who chose to tend to their mental health.
What inspires you?
My faith, family, nature, art and music.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
I ask a lot of questions in the beginning just so I truly know how I can best be of help to you and your situation. I also believe we that smiles and laughs are perfectly acceptable as we do our work.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
I want to know how to best serve you and for you to know that I am a good fit for you.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I encourage homework. Think about this, if I go to the gym one time per week, I cannot expect major muscle tone. If you want more mental "definition", practicing outside the office helps you grow.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I love spending time with cherished family, friends and pets in nature.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I am a spiritual woman that loves people, animals, life, and making a difference in this world.
