About Gabrielle
I am Gabrielle Wardlaw-Pfaff, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), School Counselor (SCL), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC). For over 15 years, I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families in school and mental health settings. I support clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem concerns, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, and family conflict. Many of the clients I work with are seeking practical tools, emotional support, and a path toward greater confidence and well-being.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I utilize evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered approaches to help clients build coping skills, improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges while recognizing and building upon their strengths.
I believe every person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether you are facing a difficult season or looking to create positive change, you do not have to navigate it alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey and support you in reaching your goals when you are ready to take the next step.

"I am passionate about helping children, teens, and adults recognize their strengths, build resilience, and develop practical tools they can use long after counseling ends. "

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I am passionate about helping people feel seen, heard, and supported. Everyone has strengths they can build upon, and counseling can provide the tools, insight, and support needed to navigate challenges, build resilience, and create.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work with individuals who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or challenged by life's stressors and are looking for support, insight, and practical tools to move forward.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
You don't need to have all the answers right now. Healing is a process, and therapy is a space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace while developing the tools and confidence to move forward.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive and welcoming environment where we discuss what brought them to therapy, current concerns, strengths, and goals. The early stages of therapy focus on building rapport, gaining a deeper understanding of your experiences, and identifying practical strategies to support growth, healing, and progress toward the goals that matter most to you.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
I value authenticity, compassion, and collaboration, and I strive to create a space where clients feel safe exploring challenges, building on their strengths, and working toward meaningful change. I believe growth happens when people are met with understanding, practical support, and the opportunity to move forward at their own pace.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I recognize that every client brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals to therapy. I tailor treatment by listening to each client's concerns, identifying what is most important to them, and adapting evidence-based strategies to fit their individual needs.
