About Anna
My bread and butter is working with clients who are in a time of transition. I love being able to utilize skills such as problem solving, creativity and a passion for learning to work in partnership with clients facing life challenges. My clients tend to be young adults and professionals looking for direction and a desire to gain deeper insight. Specifically I work with individuals with ADHD, mood disorders, and chronic illness. I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling from University of Detroit Mercy and am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My methods are flexible allowing space to explore and giving clients autonomy over their therapeutic journey. I utilize techniques such as CBT, DBT, Somatic and Expressive therapies in order to attain a more balanced and meaningful existence. My goal is to work myself out of a job by giving my clients the tools to feel confident in managing life stressors.
Life is messy and hard. Whatever you're carrying, you deserve a space to set it down and figure out your next step. When you're ready, I'm here and ready to face it together.

"The heart of my practice is a belief that when we understand what makes us who we are, we are able to open the door to real and lasting change."

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I'm most excited to work with clients who are ready and motivated to make a change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that you don't have to settle for the first available counselor. It's ok to shop around, in fact, therapeutic rapport is an extremely important component of effective therapy.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In our first session we will get to know each other, explore what's bringing you to therapy and begin to create a game plan going forward.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
In my off time, I love to use different mediums to express myself whether that's painting, ink, crayons, marker, you know name. I find it's important to keeping myself sane and grounded. I also love a good trash TV binge session.
