About Anna
My bread and butter is working with clients who are in a time of transition. I love being able to utilize skills such as problem solving, creativity and a passion for learning to work in partnership with clients facing life challenges. My clients tend to be young adults and professionals looking for direction and a desire to gain deeper insight. Specifically I work with individuals with ADHD, mood disorders, and chronic illness. I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling from University of Detroit Mercy and am a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My methods are flexible allowing space to explore and giving clients autonomy over their therapeutic journey. I utilize techniques such as CBT, DBT, Somatic and Expressive therapies in order to attain a more balanced and meaningful existence. My goal is to work myself out of a job by giving my clients the tools to feel confident in managing life stressors.
Life is messy and hard. Whatever you're carrying, you deserve a space to set it down and figure out your next step. When you're ready, I'm here and ready to face it together.

"The heart of my practice is a belief that when we understand what makes us who we are, we are able to open the door to real and lasting change."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Honestly, my answer to this question keeps evolving the deeper I grow in my practice. Originally I was drawn by a genuine fascination with the human experience. But having been in therapy myself and experienced firsthand what it feels like to not be truly heard, I made a decision early on to be the therapist I wished I had. Someone who shows up without judgment, listens deeply and walks alongside you in the struggle rather than above it.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I love clients who are curious, even if that curiosity comes with uncertainty, resistance or fear. You don't have to be ready, you just have to be willing to show up. We'll figure out the rest together.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I treat people like people not problems to be solved. We all have unique needs, histories and ways of moving through the world. As your therapist I want to know what makes you tick and what brings you joy so we can weave those things into the healing process. I encourage open feedback and transparency if something isn’t landing, let’s talk about it and adjust. Therapy should fit you, not the other way around.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Let's be honest, the beginning can feel awkward, and that's completely okay. I start by bringing authenticity to the session and walking you through the process step by step. My goal is to make you feel as comfortable as possible so we can begin getting to know each other at a pace that feels right for you. We'll explore what brought you in, what you're hoping for, and what feels most important to you right now. There's no pressure and no rush, we're just getting started together.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I tell everyone this about the process, therapeutic rapport is our biggest strength. It is necessary for healing and it takes finding the right fit. Every therapist brings a different perspective and style and it’s okay to shop around for someone who meets your needs.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
Authenticity is at the core of everything I do and honestly, my face is too expressive to be a blank slate anyway. In a world that is increasingly driven by AI, I believe therapy should feel like a conversation with another human being who is genuinely present with you, not a scripted or one sided. Having been in therapy myself I understand firsthand how important it is to feel truly seen and heard.
