About Tyler
Tyler Connolly is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) with 7 years of experience in the mental health field. Working with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Tyler has assisted individuals dealing with a wide range of issues including depressed moods, attention difficulties, anxiety, relationships, communication, loss, executive functioning, and various life changes.
Tyler completed his Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health and Counseling at the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He utilizes talk therapy and active listening in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, motivational therapy, and Gestalt therapy.

Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I've grown up being told that if you can help, you should; and this is one way I can help.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I work best with middle-aged clients that are struggling with "next steps" in life and general depressed, or stress/anxious moods.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with all of my clients; this is key to the therapeutic trust and relationship.

What inspires you?
Growth, exploration, kindness, and learning.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
This is where we begin to build the therapeutic trust and relationship. We will discuss direction of services, goals, and expectations from both the client and myself.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
Identifying the client's needs and wants, gather some background information, and generally see if we will be a good fit for services.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?
I am clinically trained with "chill vibes."
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
Camping, hiking, video games, and spending time with my wife.

I am a card carrying Thespian.
