About Randi

My name is Randi Hamilton and I am a licensed clinical professional counselor. I have worked with people with various diagnoses of all ages, although I enjoy working with the young adult population (20s).

I enjoy using CBT and DBT techniques helping clients challenge their thoughts to evaluate the truthfulness and to come up with alternate, more realistic thoughts. Concepts within DBT are so important to be aware of, and practice, like mindfulness and acceptance.

Come share your journey with me in my oasis of possibilities.

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

2 of my friends in high school were suicidal and I talked them out of it.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

It takes time.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

You can go out their own pace. It’s important to me that you are comfortable and feel safe.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Establishing rapport and ask them about goals.
