Why did you decide to become a counselor?
I've seen the difference having a counselor you can connect with can really make in a person's life and have wanted to be a counselor since I was a child. I've always enjoyed helping and listening to others and love to see the growth others can make through their own journey.
What’s one thing you wish all clients knew?
Healing and change take time, patience and hard work.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In your first session with me I like to get to know as much about you as I can in the present and past. I'll ask you several questions about various topics to help with getting to know you. I like to go over what you can expect in future sessions and start to identify goals you have for therapy. I'll share a little about myself with you as well to help with starting to build a therapeutic relationship. If you have any questions feel free to ask me at anytime.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I spend as much time as possible with my family and friends. I enjoy photography, going for hikes or walks, and exploring the area.
