About Jazmine
I am a licensed graduate professional counselor (LGPC) with 6 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in clinical and school-based settings. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, family conflict, identity concerns, and life transitions. My work focuses on helping clients gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools to navigate everyday challenges.
I earned my master’s degree in mental health counseling from Johns Hopkins University. My clinical approach is cognitive behavioral therapy-focused and trauma-informed, helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build practical coping strategies, and create sustainable behavior change through structured, goal-oriented sessions.
You do not have to navigate this season alone. I offer a collaborative, culturally responsive, and compassionate space where your experiences are honored and your goals guide our work. Together, we will move at your pace to support healing, emotional growth, and renewed hope.

"I am a compassionate therapist who brings a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and faith-aware approach to counseling, drawing on my experience working with clients of all ages to create a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal and grow."
Get to know Jazmine
Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I’m passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and find healing. Working with youth, families, and adults in schools and mental health settings showed me how guidance, support, and practical coping skills can empower individuals to grow, build resilience, and improve their well-being.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation challenges, family conflict, identity concerns, or major life transitions.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish clients knew that therapy is a safe space for growth and self-discovery. Change is possible, even when it feels slow, and each step—big or small—moves you closer to healing and greater emotional well-being.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect a welcoming space to share their story and goals. Early sessions focus on building trust, understanding challenges, identifying patterns, and starting to develop practical coping skills to lay the foundation for growth and healing.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is shaped by my commitment to empathy, faith, and understanding the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. Working with youth, families, and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions has taught me the power of patience, active listening, and practical strategies to help clients build resilience and meaningful change.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by first understanding each client’s unique experiences, goals, and challenges. Using a CBT-focused, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach, I select interventions that fit their developmental stage, personality, and circumstances. I collaborate with clients to set goals, track progress, and adjust strategies, ensuring therapy is practical, relevant, and empowering for their individual journey.
