About Bianca
Hi, I'm Bianca Johnson, LCPC, a licensed therapist with experience supporting individuals, couples, and adolescents through anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I work with clients who are often seeking deeper self-understanding, healthier coping skills, stronger communication, and more balance in their daily lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
I use a collaborative, compassionate approach that blends CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to help clients build self-awareness, improve communication, manage emotions, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Clients can expect a supportive space that encourages growth, accountability, and lasting change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate things alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. If you're ready to begin your healing journey, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

"I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, so I bring warmth, honesty, and real-world compassion into the room while helping clients navigate anxiety, relationships, selfworth, and life transitions."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because I’ve always been drawn to understanding people beyond the surface; their stories, struggles, relationships, and the ways life experiences shape how they move through the world. I wanted to create a space where people could feel safe enough to be honest, vulnerable, and supported while working toward meaningful change and healing.
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with clients who are ready to do the work- I focus on collaborative effort to bring about change.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish more people knew that healing is rarely linear. Growth often comes with discomfort, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty, but that doesn’t mean you’re failing. Therapy is not about being “fixed; it’s about gaining insight, learning healthier ways to cope, and building a more authentic and fulfilling relationship with yourself and others.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Clients can expect the first session to feel conversational, supportive, and judgmentfree. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, discussing what brought you to therapy, exploring your goals, and identifying any challenges you’d like support with. In the early stages of therapy, we’ll begin building trust, increasing selfawareness, and developing practical tools that support meaningful and lasting change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My practice is grounded in authenticity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and valued without judgment. As a Black LGBT and sex-positive individual, I have experience in a wide range of areas that shape how I show up in practice.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I understand that no two clients are the same, so I tailor therapy by taking time to understand each person’s background, personality, goals, relationships, strengths, and lived experiences. I adjust my approach based on what resonates most with the client, blending evidence-based techniques with a collaborative style that supports their individual pace, needs, and vision for growth.
