About Amber
I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical with 5 years of experience helping clients navigate challenges related to mental health and substance use. My work has centered on supporting individuals seeking healing, balance, and self-discovery. I’ve worked with adults managing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life transitions, and I’m passionate about empowering clients to strengthen self-awareness and develop the skills to create lasting, positive change in their lives.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland and draw from approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping clients uncover their strengths and work toward their personal goals.
I understand that seeking help takes courage, and my goal is to create a space that feels safe, empowering, and judgment-free. I invite you to begin your healing journey and take the next step toward living a life filled with purpose, growth, and peace. Together, we can work toward the changes you want and deserve.

"My own experiences have shown me the transformative impact of therapy, and I’m grateful to walk alongside others as they work toward healing and self-discovery."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
I became a counselor because helping people has always been a passion of mine and I find immense joy in seeing people discover their own strength and empowerment
What types of clients do you work best with?
I work best with adults who would consider themselves intellectualizers, perfectionists, or anyone who has experienced trauma in their lives.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
I wish everyone knew how powerful therapy and having support can be to the healing process.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In the first session, you can expect us to get to know one another as well as identify your goals for therapy. In the early stages of therapy you can expect us to work collaboratively together to build awareness into patterns in your life that you wish to change and discover the origin of them.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My own personal experience with mental health enables me to be empathetic and understanding of how difficult change can be. My values of honesty, kindness, curiosity , justice, and equality influence my therapeutic practice and allow me to understand someone else’s perspective.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
Therapy is an individual experience and I use my strengths of adaptability and curiosity to meet each client where they are at. I love thinking outside of the box and helping people develop new ways to cope with life’s challenges.
