Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a counselor because I have always been passionate about helping others navigate their challenges and discover their strengths. Growing up as an Asian American, I witnessed the impact of cultural stigma around mental health and felt a deep calling to break those barriers. I wanted to provide a supportive and understanding space where individuals from all backgrounds can feel heard, valued, and empowered on their journey towards healing and personal growth.
