Get to know Stephen
Why did you decide to become a counselor?
When I was younger I enjoyed helping out other people who needed some support and I knew I wanted to continue to do that in a professional capacity.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I am excited to work with anyone who is willing to be in therapy.
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
Information gathering to get a better picture of what we're working with, individual goals the client may have and a general idea of what to expect in therapy.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
A general idea of what they want in therapy and how we are going to get there together. My idea is that the client is the one who has the goals and I help them get to where they want to be.
