About Sarah
Sarah Meeks is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has 18 years of experience in the field of Medical Social Work and Geriatric Care. In the past 12 years, Sarah has focused her work on providing therapy to those experiencing caregiver stress, issues with grief and loss, and depression, as well as other mood disorders.
Sarah completed her her Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at the former Wheelock College, now Boston University, and her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Simmons College.
Sarah desires to provide support in a caring and empathic relationship with you to achieve your stated goals and build on your strengths while identifying areas that may be preventing you from achieving the fulfillment and peace you desire. She utilizes person-centered care approaches in her therapeutic relationships to help the client be a part of the care planning process. Sarah strives to use collaborative, strength-based, solution-focused therapy while also remaining aware of the need to pivot approaches at times and reassess the care goals with the client.
