About Samia
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with 9 years of experience working in the mental health field. I completed my Master’s of Social Work at Boston College. I am passionate about assisting clients in identifying and utilizing their strengths while developing additional insights and skills to address life’s challenges and appreciate moments of joy. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental-health settings and specializes in depression, anxiety, major life transitions, grief, and trauma.
I draw on multiple treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness and self-compassion to help clients appreciate their strengths, develop additional coping skills, and hold onto hope.
I am here to meet you where you are at and support you along your journey. I applaud you for considering pursuing therapy and invite you to take the next step and schedule an initial appointment.

"I believe you are the expert on your experience and I am here to meet you where you are at and help you identify the strengths you already possess and build new life skills to empower you in the here and now."

Progress can sometimes take time to see and is seldom linear but is always occurring in the healing process.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
Client's can expect to feel seen, heard, and empowered during the early stages of therapy.
