Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
Marina decided to become a counselor because she loves talking to people and, as a scientist, wanted to explore human nature. She found immense fulfillment in understanding the complexities of the human mind and helping others navigate their emotional journeys. This passion for both human connection and scientific exploration led her to a career where she could make a meaningful impact on people's lives.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I love working with young adults who are making their first steps into big life changes. I excel in helping people navigate life transitions, such as welcoming a newborn or going through a divorce. I also enjoy working with older adults, as I am a great listener and love diving into memories, helping to shape and accept the past, and removing the burden of emotions to bring them back to the present. Having spent 4 years working with opioid use disorder, I have developed a deep understanding of the addicted brain.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
People with ADHD, young adults and older adults.

One thing I wish all clients knew is that true healing and personal growth are possible when you embrace and understand your innermost needs and emotions. No matter what you think about yourself now, you are enough, and with patience and self-compassion, you can achieve incredible transformation.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?
In your first session with me, you can expect a sense of curiosity, as my favorite part of the job is learning something new from my clients. I believe that each client has unique experiences and insights that I haven't encountered before. We'll start by assessing where you are emotionally and meeting you at that point. Together, we'll identify your immediate issues and create a roadmap for future treatment, ensuring that our approach is tailored to your specific needs and goals.
