Get to know Lucia

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I chose this work after seeing how profoundly trauma, stress, and life transitions can impact someone’s sense of self, and I wanted to help people regain stability, clarity, and confidence through compassionate, evidence‑based care.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Lucia works best with individuals experiencing intense emotions, chronic stress, or crisis‑related concerns. She brings a calm, trauma‑informed approach that helps clients regain balance and begin healing with confidence.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

I wish clients knew they don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy; simply showing up is already a meaningful step toward healing.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

In our first session, I focus on helping you feel safe, understood, and unrushed. Early therapy is about grounding, learning your story, and creating a collaborative plan that supports healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, or major life transitions.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I’m informed by my commitment to helping people feel seen and understood. I value connection, cultural humility, and the belief that healing grows from feeling safe enough to explore your experiences without judgment.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I adapt my work by paying attention to how clients respond in session, offering tools that match their needs, and creating a safe, steady environment where they can explore their experiences without pressure.
