My career began in 2013 working in the outpatient clinic program of the largest agency in NY serving children and families, then expanding to include adults. After receiving my license in Mental Health Counseling, I became supervisor of the clinic while still maintaining a caseload. This experience exposed me to all socio-economic statuses, relationship issues, substance abuse, and the foster care system. Other populations included college-age clients and the challenges associated with that phase of life. Something common among them all was dissatisfaction in one or more domains of life they were seeking assistance in improving.

I take a strengths-based approach, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused methods to create a therapeutic partnership characterized by creativity, flexibility, and empathy.

I look forward to establishing a warm, motivational partnership to help build on your strengths, work towards your goals, and create your most meaningful life! Schedule your first appointment today.

Get to know Linda

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

Helping and being curious about people has always been something I gravitated to since I was a kid, people were often coming to me for advice.

What types of clients do you work best with?

Clients who are themselves and appreciate a sense of humor.

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

Feedback, especially constructive, is very important to me. Being creative and learning my clients' preferred way of learning as been helpful.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

Meeting someone who is non-judgmental and truly interested in getting to know you, your strengths, and your struggles. Learning new concepts and ways of doing things.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

Healing is not linear. People are more capable than they might feel and stronger than they give themselves credit for.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I understand what is to be depressed and anxious. I also value curiosity, adaptability, creativity and humor (among others).
