About Provider

About Kelly

I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with seven years of experience working in addiction treatment before transitioning to Thriveworks. As someone who has lived with anxiety, and I know how exhausting it can be to carry worries that no one else can see.Working in addictions, I understand the complicated mix of love, grief, resilience, and responsibility that can come with addiction struggles. Those experiences don't mean I know exactly what you're going through, but they help me meet you with empathy instead of judgment.

Whether we're working through anxiety, depression, eating disorders, or a major life transition, my hope is that our time together helps you rediscover the strength, resilience, and purpose that may feel buried beneath life's struggles. I believe every person has inherent worth, and even in our hardest seasons, growth and healing are possible.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you as you explore yourself, grow, meet goals, and heal. I believe healing happens best in a place where you feel safe enough to be fully known—without shame. Looking forward to our work together!

"If you're reading this, chances are life feels heavier than you'd like it to. Maybe anxiety has your mind running a marathon you never signed up for. Maybe depression has stolen your joy. Maybe your relationship with food has become complicated, or you're walking through one of those seasons where everything feels uncertain. Whatever your story is, you don't have to carry it alone."

Seeing my provider virtually is super convenient and I have been able to really connect with her. Even through the computer screen I can tell that my therapist is always listening ....

Get to know Kelly

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

As a person whom has struggled with anxiety and has family members in active addiction/ recovery, I have seen the impact mental health struggles on the whole person, family system, and community. I wanted to step into this space and help and make a change!

What types of clients do you work best with?

Any client who wants to explore themselves!

How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?

I start by getting to know you, but let a client drive the car! We set a list of goals and work in different ways to achieve.

What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?

I like to ask “why are you in therapy/ what brings you here today?” We start with right now and likely will fill in some gaps as we go but you signed up for therapy at this moment for a reason. Let’s start there.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?

It’s not scary I promise! It comes with some work but it’s so worth it.

What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?

I truly believe every person is a collection of experiences. I have been a student, a single person, lived alone and several other experiences. I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a dog mom, and friend. All of my experiences have shaped my perspective as I’m sure yours have as well.
