The provider was warm in her first meeting with me. She listened carefully and was thorough in her questioning to help understand the scope of the problem. I feel heard and ready to work with her.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

My clients can expect to be heard, as they are the experts in their own lives.

What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?

I will want to know what brought my client to therapy and what needs they have identified to be addressed.

What should clients know about you before scheduling a first counseling session?

Clients should know that I will be committed to helping them and that our time together will be focused on making them feel better.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I love to read, and if I am doing it on a beach, that is even better.

What’s one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
