About Josephine

Josephine Larbi-Boamah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 13 years of experience supporting clients across diverse settings, including acute psychiatric units, outpatient care, and geriatric populations. She has extensive experience providing individual therapy to children, teens, and adults, helping them navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, anger management, and life transitions. Josephine earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. She also holds a degree in Sociology and Religious Studies from the University of Ghana. Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?

I decided to become a therapist due to the gratification I feel when I see others succeed. It gives me so much joy to see others make meaning out of life and thrive in their own unique way.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

Spending time with family, watch movies, listening to music, challenge myself to learn something new such as baking and preparing dishes.
