About Jane
Jane Song is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who specializes in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and stress in adolescents and adults. During her work at Boston Harbor Christian Counseling Center, Jane serviced both couples and individuals. Her clients differed in age, gender, religion, and social/academic background. They ranged from college students to professionals to retirees. Due to the pandemic, most of Jane’s clients experienced symptoms such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorder, marital issues, substance-related issues, trauma, covid-related complications, and work and life balance concerns.
Jane completed her Master of Arts in Counseling (MACO) in mental health and the family track at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Prior to graduate school, she had over 18 years of experience working in the finance and the fashion industry in Europe, Australia, and Asia. Jane has worked extensively with people across cultures, genders, and ages through empowering, coaching, and equipping individuals to find a deeper purpose in life. She experienced transformations and development in vastly different fields of human endeavors, encompassing creativity and grasp of the social psyche. Jane is also trained as Christian faith-based therapist who integrates faith into daily life. In addition, Jane is a life coach who focuses on helping people to get unstuck in life. She is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
Jane is a compassionate listener, and she will aim to provide a safe place for you to process your pain, trauma, and relational issues in life. She is confident that together, you can make a difference in your life for the better. Jane primarily utilizes evidence-based therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and existential therapy to provide a holistic approach to her clients. Do you ever feel stuck, restless, powerless, overwhelmed in life? Do you wonder, “How can I get unstuck and heal from the past”? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are not alone, and you have the power to make a difference through partaking in thoughtful and compassionate therapy. Together, you and Jane will process and discover the many important questions of "whys" in your life and seek healing and freedom.

"As a Chinese-American woman who moved to the US in my teenage years, I left a thriving corporate career of 18 years and found my passion as a therapist where I am able to make a difference one life at a time."
