About Gloria
I’m a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with 20 years of experience supporting clients through anxiety, PTSD, depression, stress, major life transitions, and relationship challenges. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after difficult past experiences, I’m here to help you navigate what comes next. I believe in expanding your resilience, building on your strengths, and helping you move through life with more clarity, confidence, and emotional freedom.
I hold a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Bay Path University. I integrate acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, family systems, and an interpersonal process to offer individualized, culturally responsive, and compassionate care.
I know that no single approach works for everyone, so I show up with curiosity, empathy, and a bit of humor as we get to know one another. Together, we’ll explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and relating to the world so you can realign with your values, reconnect with yourself, and build the life you want to live.

"As a compassionate and culturally conscious psychotherapist with over 8 years of experience, I specialize in addressing a wide range of mental health concerns and supporting individuals facing complex life challenges and stressors, integrating empathy, cultural sensitivity, and evidence-based practices to empower individuals, couples, and families to thrive."

Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
My path to becoming a counselor was shaped by my trauma I experienced growing up as a child. My trauma experience had a profound impact on me in so many ways. Through therapy I was able to find a way to grow and heal. Therapy gave me a unique perspective and a deep empathy for others who are faced with similar struggles. My aim as a counselor is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to process their experiences and work towards healing
What types of clients do you work best with?
Teens, Adults, and Older Adults.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew about therapy, mental health, or the healing process?
One thing I wish all clients knew is that therapy is a journey, not a destination. It's okay to take things one step at a time, and healing isn't linear. It's okay to experience ups and downs. and it's a sign of progress, not failure. I am here to support you and not judge you. It's about your growth, self discovery and learning to be kinder to yourself.
What can clients expect in their first session with you and in the early stages of therapy?
In my first session with my client, I will focus on building rapport and understanding what brought them to therapy. I will meet them where they are and provide a safe and non judgmental space. I will listen attentively to their concerns, ask questions to clarify concerns. Work with them to identify their goals for therapy, discuss confidentiality and boundaries. I will outline the treatment process and how I can best support them. I will work collaboratively with my client to develop effective coping skills and strategies to manage their mental health concerns.
What personal experiences or values inform your practice as a therapist/provider?
My approach to therapy is informed by my education, training and experience working with individuals and families. I draw from evidenced based practices and tailor my approach to meet each of my client's unique needs and goals. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings and experiences.
How do you tailor therapy to meet each client’s unique needs?
I tailor therapy by actively listening to understand each client's concerns, values, and goals. I consider their individual needs and circumstances, personality and experiences, and adapt my approach accordingly. This might involve incorporating specific modalities such as CBT, ACT or mindfulness, or adjusting communication style to best support the client. My goal is to create a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique needs and promote growth and healing
