Why did you decide to become a counselor or psychiatric provider?
After working on the ambulance as an EMT, I felt drawn to finding additional ways to support individuals as they rediscovered and uncovered their passions, life balance, and ways of being in the world that aligned with who they wanted to be as a person.
What types of clients do you work with best?
I enjoy working with all ages and individuals of all backgrounds. My experience having grown up overseas and working with a wide range of individuals as a clinical social worker has provided me with a diverse skill set to connect and support individuals in identifying and achieving their goals.
What type of clients are you most excited to work with?
I enjoy working with those who are interested in exploring and working on their wellness journey.
What's one thing you wish all clients knew?
As people, we are constantly evolving and changing which can be scary. Everyone's journey is different and that is okay.
Why did you choose to practice at Thriveworks?
Thriveworks reputation for having a diverse and supportive client and clinician community aligns with my values personally and professionally.
What inspires you?
Supporting someone as they work towards their goals, their dreams, and grow in a way that is in line with their values
What can clients expect in their first session with you?
During our first meeting, I’d like to understand what brings you to meet with me, what would be helpful for you, and what you hope to get out of our meetings together. As we get to know each other the answers may evolve; that’s okay, we’re in this together.
What do you want to accomplish with an individual in their first session?
For them to feel that they are authentically seen, heard, and understood as a whole person as we collaborate on their treatment goals so as to have a clear path that guides our work together.
What should clients know about you before scheduling a first session?
I like to collaborate. We are in this together as a team, you and me, and I look forward to meeting with you.
What do you do for fun/on your time off?
I’m in the process of training my 2 year old yellow labrador retriever Long-Life to be a therapy dog. We go to a lot of classes! I also started growing my own avocado trees from seed which are 4 years old.
What's one thing about you that defines you (non-professional)?
I really enjoy walking my dog.
