Why did you decide to become a counselor?

I decided to come a counselor after witnessing first-hand how addiction can impact not only the person struggling, but all members of the family. Throughout my career, I have been able to discover how to best support both the person struggling with substance use, as well as families, in navigating this challenging time.

What types of clients do you work with best?

I work well with clients who appreciate a direct approach with transparency and my use of humor at times. I am happy to meet the client where they are at in terms of readiness to change, letting them guide their own treatment goals & determining how I can best support them create change.

What type of clients are you most excited to work with?

Client who are new to therapy and excited to learn new skills are always exciting to work with.

What's one thing you wish all clients knew?

I wish all clients know that meeting regularly and consistently is the best way to create change.

What can clients expect in their first session with you?

Clients can expect their first session with me to focus on learning what caused them to seek therapy, building rapport and deciding whether working together will be useful for them based on their individual needs.

What do you do for fun/on your time off?

I enjoy spending time with my family in my off time, ready thrillers, kayaking and going to the beach.
